Don't be afraid to shop at off-price stores. A lot of times they will have name brand designers items, but for a way cheaper cost. They tend to get the clothes that either the higher end stores couldn't sell, or if stores order too much of an item. Some of my favorite locations;

These originally go for $99.95 in store and online at Steve Madden. However, I found the same heels at Ross for $24.99 - saving over 75% on the original retail price.

H&M is having their annual mid season sale. Get some awesome items, for a little to nothing. From clothing, accessories, and shoes. Go to their site and find the closest location to you. I recently went and was able to score 5 items for $30.

The best ways to catch the best deals is to sign up with online store newsletters. They provide the latest and greatest deals, that not all customers are aware of. If you don't mind receiving texts those are also a useful tool to use as well. A lot of times by signing up you will receive some decent incentives. Utilize all avenues of money saving opportunities.
